Gas Safety

Here at Bristol Property Centre we are dedicated to providing the highest standards to both our tenants and landlords in all areas of property management. As the old adage goes: ‘Safety First’! We believe very firmly in that mantra and that is why we adhere to a strict set of safety principles designed to ensure the tenants staying in our property are as safe as possible.

Gas appliances that are left unchecked present a great danger to residents as they could potentially be leaking carbon monoxide. We ensure that all properties where gas is present undergo a gas safety test carried out by a fully qualified engineer.

A gas safety check will ensure each gas appliance is running correctly and safely. Taken from the Gas Safety Register sight is a description of the procedure: A Gas Safe registered engineer will check the following four areas:

  • Gas appliances are on the right setting and burning correctly with the correct operating pressure
  • Harmful gases are being removed from the appliances safely to the air outside
  • That any ventilation routes are clear and working properly
  • All the safety devices are working

To reiterate, this will be carried out on every property where gas is present so that all concerned can rest assured that the property is safe.
